Restaurant Burglary Suspect Nabbed In Capital Region

A Capital Region man was nabbed for allegedly breaking into a restaurant, causing damage, and stealing money.

A Saratoga Spring man was nabbed for allegedly breaking into a restaurant, stealing cash, and cashing damage.

The incident occurred in Saratoga County at 11:40 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, on Maple Avenue in Greenville.

According to Trooper Stephanie O'Neil, an investigation determined that David Gregson, age 57, of Saratoga Springs, allegedly forced his way into the restaurant, causing damage to the building earlier in the evening. While inside, Gregson reportedly stole money and then fled on foot.

A few hours later, Gregson was located in Saratoga Springs, where he was arrested and charged with burglary and criminal mischief. 

He was remanded to the Saratoga County Correctional Facility without bail.
